Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to individuals in a Home Care setting. You will play a key role in managing healthcare needs, coordinating with other healthcare professionals, and ensuring the overall well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to residents, including assessments, medication administration, wound care, and monitoring of vital signs.
- Care Planning: Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Health Management: Monitor and manage chronic conditions and acute health issues, ensuring timely interventions and coordination with medical professionals.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including care plans, progress notes, and incident reports.
- Emergency Response: Provide emergency care and support in crisis situations, including administering first aid and coordinating with emergency services as needed.
- Education and Support: Educate residents and their families about health conditions, medications, and self-care practices, promoting informed decision-making and independence.
- Compliance: Adhere to healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices, ensuring compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with support staff, healthcare providers, and management to deliver integrated and effective care.
Qualifications:
- License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in UK.
- Experience: Previous experience in a nursing role, preferably in a supported living or similar setting, is desirable.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred, or an Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) with relevant experience.
- Skills: Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Certification: BLS/CPR certification required; additional certifications in areas such as wound care or gerontology are advantageous.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a background check is required.
